June! I forgot to add it first :)

It looks like we all got some much needed sleep. Elizabeth has fined tuned her ability to eat with utensils and is beginning to run!! She has a great sense of humor and still loves to be held. She is going to love the summer.....

Elizabeth loves her crayons although this is one of the few times she is actually drawing with them!
She is still very unsure about the outside pool. There are lots of people, toys, things that splash..ugh ugh!

Typical Day

Yummy!

Not all of July was traveling and fun we also got to spend some much needed time at the park, home and around town doing our normal "stuff."
Eat crackers in the sand....why not!
Pretending I am Tupac
My first music class
Driving around the play ground!

July goes on.....

Biking trip in Lanesboro.
Anyone who knows Art and I knows that we are huge into the outdoors (just kidding). Our family and a few friends went to Amish country for the caves, food and biking. We missed the caves, got the food and well the biking just did not work out. Monkey bones lasted about 5 minutes per ride. She hated the helmet, hated the bike trailer and cried like crazy. She did like the high chair rides at the pie diner and also liked walking on the very busy bike trail, So at least she was happy some of the time! Better luck next year.

MFA Concert:

Mayo Fellows put on a free outdoor dinner and concert. Pancake would not think about going without dressing for the occasion.

Nana's comes to visit!
Arthur went to Vegas for Dima's stag so my mom came for the weekend to hang out. We had a great time and they really got to know each other better. It was great! Thanks for coming mom we love you.
Well, I am a bad blogger that is all there is to it. So I will play catch up for the summer.

JULY:
We tried camping in the back yard. Art worked for about an hour or so to get the tent up and the fire started. It was great art and I had a few beers by the fire and Eli loved to watch the flames. When it was time to turn in Art slept peacefully under the stars
while Eli and I slept peacefully under my ceiling fan.

4th of July:

Arthur was moonlighting, however, our awesome neighbors and friends Stacy and Ed and their two adorable girls invited us for dinner and fire works. We had a great time and Lizbird was unmoved by the lights and the boom but loved the chairs and snacks our friends brought!

Baba's rocking chair:

The new chair is wonderful and Elizabeth loves to sit and play with her toys and babies!
Thank you Baba!

Welcome Orah!

We started off this most holy of days with a Kosher feast of pulled pork and baked (bacon) beans! I was really embarrassed when I had to explain that to the Rabbi- who was very gracious I might add :)

The week following Elizabeth's first birthday we held her Hebrew naming ceremony! We chose the name Orah for her first name. Arthur's mothers name is Polina- there is not a Hebrew equivalent to it, so we researched the Hebrew name book and found that Polina is from Lena which is from Eleanor (my grandmother on my father’s side). Orah is a Hebrew equivalent of Eleanor. Her middle name is T'shurah which is from Dolly- which is from Dorothy (my grandmother on my mother’s side). We had a beautiful ceremony and we were surrounded by many of our closest relatives and friends. Thank you to every one who could make it. We are fortunate to have you in our lives! We hope that you had fun!!!

p.s. notice the shoes.....

p.s.s. Alynn do you have any pictures of you and your mom from the ceremony????

Better late......well here they are 1 year pics!

Our little girl is one (well now she is 13 months). Anyway she is walking, running and talking. She has added to doggie with mama, papa, chair, up, down, wawa, boobie, all done, grape-ah, apple, paper, bye-bye, ball, baby, doll, ah-ah (is still music), bottle ( for water) shoes, socks, cracker, ras (raisin), bread, stan, outside, hat, open & (anything with wheels is the noise you make when you vibrate your lips together). I maybe forgetting a few but I will add them as we go along.

Elizabeth is in love with animals especially dogs and will stop at nothing to sit on them , pull their hair and squeal right in their faces :) Stan loves it! Elizabeth also found dolls! This is the reason to have a girl. Oh my gosh! She sits in her rocking chair (from Baba Inna) and rocks her babies, feeds them crackers and covers them with blankets. I melts our hearts every time.

Elizabeth started a music class a few weeks ago and has really started to love it. She is a music fanatic. She will do wipers on the bus, E-I-E-I (no o), and shake her hand up and down for NO More Monkeys Jumping On The Bed! and still loves If you are happy and ou know it. She has some others that we will get on video.

Elizabeth loves eating grapes and any bread-carb like item she can get into her mouth. She recently figured out how to drink from her sippy cup but still much prefers strangers water bottles and cups of any sort. We are only allowed to feed her when the blue moon is full, otherwise she is a spoon and fork loven' fan. About 1/4 of the food actually makes it into her mouth but we support her efforts to try. Foods she enjoys: yogurt, bread, grapes, raisins, milk, blueberries and that about sums up the list.

She wore these shoes to Matt and Clara's wedding in January (before she could walk) and insists on wearing them every day. She will walk up to her sock/shoe drawer says "open" and picks them up, sits on my lap and put them to her feet. It is way too cute, however these are newborn shoes and she is 13 months old. Her little feet are bound up pretty well. She walks a little unsteady and slips a lot when she has them on, but she loves them! I need to make them disappear and soon.

Elizabeth thank you for a year full of surprises and love. You are our sunshine! We are all ready proud of you and can not wait to watch you grow into a young lady. You are sassy, fun and love to laugh! You are for sure our kid! By the way you started throwing temper tantrums this month too!

Elizabeth and her toy basket

Every once in a while Elizabeth will want from the bottom of her toy box- no.. umm... basket (of course)  Please note the high quality of her toy basket.  What happens ... well you shall see.  In this case it was her phone that she was searching for- enjoy!
